Being in a loving relationship with another human being sometimes means coming face-to-face with issues of grief and loss. Death, terminal illness, a broken friendship, or loss of a job or home can all lead to depression, anxiety, and hopelessness. A Pathways Christian counselor will compassionately help you restore hope by taking control of what you can change and surrendering the things you cannot change to God.

One or more of these signs may be present
Recently suffered a catastrophic loss
Inability to concentrate or function
Reaction that lasts more than an expected amount of time
Intensity of reaction to that seems excessive
Fear of mortality
High disruption of work, school, or relationships
Uncontrollable crying
Questions about God
Intense emotions including, anger, irritability, fear, and more
How do I know if I am suffering from grief and loss?
- Do you lack appetite, and food seems bland?
- Have you lost a lot of weight?
- Are you always sad?
- Have you thought about ending it all?
- Do you always seem tired or find it difficult to get out of bed?
- Does it seem like you will never feel better?
