Sherrill Lemmermann, PhD, LP

Sherrill enjoys working with adults and couples who are seeking support, encouragement and personal insight as they move through significant life transitions in relationships, employment, and/or self-discovery.  She has a special interest in adult development and life transitions throughout the life span for both men and women, with special emphasis on the impact of personality type on personal growth and on the interpretation and integration of life events. Sherrill’s professional experience includes special study and research on the perspectives and self-development of men during the second half of life.  She is skilled in helping her clients identify and address the barriers that can often prevent the fulfillment and satisfaction they seek in their later years.

Sherrill has worked with people in a variety of settings who struggle with chronic mental illness and personality disorders. She is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and works with a wide variety of symptoms and issues, including, but not limited to, those listed below:

Sherrill uses cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented, psychodynamic, strength-based, and spiritual approaches, tailoring methodology and treatment to the unique profile of needs of each individual. Her approach to therapy is interactive, supportive, and encouraging, and she seeks to engage with her clients with the goal of resolving symptoms, problems, and issues on both a practical and deeper level. She has profound compassion for those who suffer from mental illness and other disorders and is committed to the recovery of their emotional equilibrium in helping them move toward stability and wholeness.
